Common questions
Does one subscription cover all nine banks?
Yes. A single subscription unlocks every subject in the app, including the California smog
check licence bank. There is no per-bank purchase. The ten free questions a day are also shared
across all nine banks.
Which subjects are included?
California Smog Check Licence, Engine Performance, Suspension & Steering, Brakes,
A/C Service, Shop Fundamentals, Shop Safety, Electrical Systems, and Heating & A/C.
Each bank keeps its own progress, so working one does not disturb the others.
Are engine repair and manual drive train included?
Not at present. The app covers the nine subjects listed above. Email the subject you need
and it will be considered for a future update.
What does a subscription open?
It removes the daily limit of ten questions and opens mock exams (timed and scored against
the pass mark) and read mode (answers and explanations laid open, page by page, unscored).
Practice in order, random draw and redo missed all work on the free tier, within the daily ten.
Where is my progress stored?
On your device only. There is no account and nothing is uploaded. Deleting the app deletes
all of it.
I paid but the app still shows the free limit.
Open Subscribe and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same
Apple Account used for the purchase.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by this app. Open Settings in the app and tap
Subscription, then Cancel subscription — that opens Apple's own subscription panel. You can also
get there from the Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at
the end of the current period and you keep access until then.
Does it work without a network?
Yes. The questions, explanations and fonts are all inside the app. Nothing is fetched while
you study.
I think an answer is wrong.
Please email the subject name, the question number and what you believe the correct answer
is. Corrections are taken seriously and shipped in the next update.
